The sun shone brightly in the sky that April afternoon as a new mother held her first and only baby in her arms for the first time. The
proud father had pre-decided the name of the baby girl long before her birth. Being the oddball that he was, he decided to name her
after his favorite actress at the time: Stefanie Powers from the ever popular show Heart to Heart. The baby girl would grow up with a
love/hate relationship with her name. Love because of the unique spelling, but hate because she
would never know the joys of being able to buy pre-made novelty key chains or license plates from other states with her name
embossed on them.

Too far back? Skip ahead in time twenty-six years (and some change) and we're in present day. The aforementioned girl is grown up,
married to a wonderful man (whose real name is Jay, but she knows him only as Witty), and held her first and only baby (Riley, so
that even though he looks Hawaiian, he'll have an Irish name) in her arms in November of 2005.

Some people will say this is unprofessional, but I'm just going to take a moment to tell you about myself and not by means of third
person, it's going to come straight from my fingertips to your eyeballs. My favorite part of being an author (aside from telling the
story) are the personal connections I've made. I have met so many people through my books that I wouldn't have had the pleasure of
meeting otherwise. Some have inspired me, others have reaffirmed my faith in people over and over again, and some have become
friends. Where would I be without readers? Just a girl with an overactive imagination and no one to share it with. Everything I write,
I do with you guys in mind,
and you'll never know how grateful I am to all of you!

To be completely honest, I never knew I wanted to be a writer. Sure, I would scribble my down my thoughts and short stories in my
free-time, but it didn't truly hit me until I was in the middle of a disastrous romance novel, I put it down and realized that if I wanted
something custom built to fit my needs, I had to write it myself, so that's what I did. And there you have the birth of City of Dreams
(The train-wreck novel I was in the middle of reading got jammed to the back of my bookshelf, never
to be spoken of again, although I do owe it a great deal). The Gray Area Series was spawned from my primal love of vampires,
because really, who can resist a good vampire book?

And, although I'm too big to fit in a nut shell, that's me. I'm doing something I love but never imagined I'd be doing, and I couldn't be
happier.
